Based on NIST SP 800-63B and OWASP password security guidelines, checks password length, character composition, common password list, repeated characters, sequential patterns, and provides compliance score.
NIST SP 800-63B Guidelines
Passwords at least 8 chars (64+ encouraged); no complexity rules enforced; check breached password list; allow all printable chars and spaces; provide strength indicator; limit failed attempts, no forced rotation.
OWASP Guidelines
Minimum 8 chars; allow all characters including spaces; no complexity enforcement; check breached passwords; no max length limit (at least 64); no forced rotation; provide feedback; use rate limiting and account lockout.
